# Re-kindling your love for God

So you are a Christian.. at least that is what you say when you are
asked of your religion

But you know that your relationship with God has gone stale.

And you hope things improve somehow

back on track because she has been there.

## Hello, my name is Elizabeth Ufere,

I used to treat my Christian life with a great deal of casualness. I was
just a mere \"Christian,\" preoccupied with school and every other
activity besides my relationship with God. I wanted to enjoy life to
the fullest, but God showed me that, it was **impossible** without him.

Things began to change when my sister introduced me to her church, and this is my first point:


a). Find a church that believes in the Bible, teaches the Scriptures, has
strong doctrine, and cares about your growth and joy in the faith.
> All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals (including the Lord’s Supper), and to prayer.
>  
> Acts 2: 42

 b)  **Love God!**  Your love for God will fuel your
devotion to him. I no longer see God only as my creator, but I also see him now as my
Father, as my Lover. I remember during my school clearance, I saw the hand of God so evidently, God made it become a miracle and
a prayer answered.

### Note: When you love God, you involve him in everything that you do!

c). Create a devotional schedule, **set alarms** and reminders for your personal devotion and bible study, be
consistent and disciplined with it. When you love God, you will want to know him better. This love grows as you
spend time with him in daily devotion. 

I battled with consistency until I resolved in my heart to always read
at least one chapter of the bible a day and pray before the end of the
day. And ever since it has been working for me and you can
practice it also.

d). Make Godly friends, make friends with your church members, have people
in your corner that will motivate and encourage your Christian journey.
Get a prayer and bible study partner

e). Have a spiritual head, a mentor: Your mentor can be your resident pastor.
He/ She will help to guide you along in your Christian walk, as they have been there and can share from their wealth of experience.
